We want more and more people to find in technology an opportunity to learn, grow and build their professional future. That is why La Rioja Digital works with schools, universities, associations and public bodies to awaken technology vocations and bring the sector closer to students and professionals.
We also work to broaden the range of training available and to connect it with what companies actually need, promoting new qualifications and more learning opportunities in La Rioja. This link with academia is part of how we work: the universities sit on La Rioja Digital’s governing bodies, strengthening the dialogue between education and business.
And we do so looking beyond our region. We take part in national and European initiatives on technology vocations and digital skills through organisations such as CONETIC and the European DIGITAL SME Alliance, sharing experience and helping to address one of the sector’s major challenges: having more professionals prepared for the digital environment.
Vocational education and training is one of the main routes for new professionals to join the technology sector. La Rioja Digital works with schools across La Rioja and with private training centres so that their students can complete their learning at technology companies in the region.
We work with programmes and specialisations linked to computing, software development, systems and other technology areas, bringing training closer to the reality of companies and creating new opportunities for students.

We also work with private centres and other training providers to widen the ways students can join our member companies and to meet the sector’s need for specific profiles.
We also work with universities to bring their students closer to technology companies in La Rioja and give them the chance to apply what they have learned in real projects and professional settings.
We facilitate internships for students on degrees, master’s programmes and other qualifications linked to computing, data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and other technology areas. In some cases this collaboration can extend to final degree or master’s projects carried out with companies.
We work with several qualifications at the Universidad de La Rioja, among them the Degree in Computer Engineering and postgraduate programmes in the technology field, making it possible for their students to do internships and develop projects at companies in the sector.
We also work with UNIR to arrange internships for students on various technology master’s programmes and qualifications at companies in La Rioja.
Technology needs an ever wider range of profiles, and our collaboration is not limited to specific studies or centres.
