Cidatum Attends ApplAI in Donosti

On May 13, Cidatum participated in ApplAI26, the leading conference on applied artificial intelligence in the Basque Country, held at the Kursaal in Donostia-San Sebastián.
A high-level event attended by more than 500 professionals, companies, research centers, and institutions committed to advancing AI in the region.
One of the highlights of the event was the roundtable discussion titled “Continuing to Innovate: Technological Transitions, Sustainability, and the Next Wave,” which explored how organizations must evolve to remain at the forefront of technology without losing sight of sustainability and energy efficiency.
The event featured leading figures from the Basque and international ecosystems: Iraia Ibarzabal (Multiverse Computing), Xabier Esquisabel (ITP Aero), Igor García Olaizola (Vicomtech), and Josu Bilbao (Ikerlan). Four distinct perspectives—quantum computing, the aerospace industry, applied technology, and research—highlighted the key drivers of the next wave of technology and the real challenges of the transition.
At Cidatum, we closely follow these debates because they set the roadmap for innovation in our region. Events like ApplAI26 are essential for building a more robust, connected ecosystem that is prepared for what lies ahead.
